Hi, guys!

Teehee, this is my first post for the Youth Choir.

Anyways, just wanted to let you all know that last weekend’s concert will be aired twice on the radio on Christmas Day: at 1 p.m. on CBC Radio One and at 3 p.m. on CBC Radio 2. So be sure to tune in to hear yourselves!

See ya tomorrow!

All of you! After such a great weekend, it feels crazy to pick the outstanding among the outstanding, but I think we should acknowledge our new members this week, who had a great first concert with us.

First of all, please let me say again how proud I was of you on Sunday. It was such a big weekend of singing, and you were absolutely exemplary in every way all weekend. Your focus, hard work, positive attitudes, professionalism on stage, and great singing is something I hope you are all very proud of.

Christmas Party!

You know more about this than I do (!), but here are the basic details for everyone:

When: Monday, December 3rd

Where: Arthur Seguin Chalet in Pointe-Claire (365 St-Louis, Pointe-Claire)

What to bring: please bring your music to be returned, whatever supplies you’ve decided you need for your activities, and your secret santa gift ($10 and under please).

Timeframe: We are hoping that the party will run from 5-6:30, for the Children and 5-8 for the Youth,  but are still waiting to have confirmation from the Chalet about the timeframe. Check back here for confirmation before Monday. This is now confirmed: party time will start at 5 for the CC and end at 8 for the YC.

Parents:
You are more than welcome to join us for all or part of this event. The Youth Choir has elected to host the party at a larger venue this year so that we can comfortably accommodate all of the singers and their families. The YC will be organizing activities for the CC for the first hour or so of the party, and then will have a get-together of their own from 6:30 onwards.

We look forward to seeing all of you there!

It’s concert week!

Please make sure you review the music with your child a few times this week. There are some who are very well-prepared for Sunday, and others who aren’t always sure of what to sing next. This is a first performance for many of our singers, and we want it to be a positive one! Being well-prepared is the best way to enjoy giving a concert.

The basic details for Sunday are as follows:

Where: Union Church, 24 rue Maple, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (at the West edge of MacDonald Campus)

When: Singers arrive at 2, and the concert begins at 3

Tickets: $10 (students) and $15, available at the door, starting at 2:30

Uniforms: please arrive in uniform – there will not be time/space to change

Music: if you will not attend the Christmas party on Dec 3, please return your music on Sunday after the concert

Help: is there anyone who would be comfortable taking some pictures during the event?

The kids have worked very hard this semester and I think they’re going to give a pretty fantastic concert! I am really looking forward to celebrating our accomplishments together in front of an audience.

  3. Lieu: Union Church, 24 rue Maple, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (adjacent to the West side of MacDonald Campus)
