Further to the information I posted on Monday, I have a few more details to share for Saturday:
1) Please arrive in your full concert dress – the directors would like to see how the lighting and colours will work during the morning session
2) Please wear warm socks – we will not be wearing shoes for the morning because they could make noise during the recording, so plan to keep your toes warm!
3) There may be some extra time during the day for homework etc. – bring something quiet to do in case there is extra time to wait.
and for Friday, November 8:
1) our soundcheck is from 17h40-until 18h00 – I know this is early! It was originally at 17h00 and I said that it was too hard to arrive from the West Island by 17h00, so this is the best I can do! We only get 20 minutes on stage before the concert, so please make sure you are at Pollack Hall by 17h30 at the very latest.
Clara – for being a great contributor to the soprano 1 section
Giuliana – for learning all of the new alto parts quickly and fast becoming a valuable member of the alto section
I will say again how very proud I am of all of you for doing such a great job on Saturday. Thank you for being so well-behaved, so dependable, so well-prepared, and for singing very well for Jordan. I can’t wait to see how the video turns out!
Sympaatti, The Storm is Passing Over, and The Birds all need to be ready for next week – we perform them on November 8th!
Saturday – arrive at 9am at Birks Chapel (you don’t need to be in concert dress when you arrive), pickup is at 16h30 at Birks Chapel (3520 rue University)
please bring – your full concert dress, including shoes and stockings, and somewhere to keep your jewelry (which must be removed for concerts), a water bottle, music and pencil, a lunch and snack, and since there will be the possibility of close-ups during shooting of the video, please make sure you have tidy hair and/or bring a hairbrush
Andrea – please remember to bring your release waiver
Friday November 8th – concert downtown at Pollack Hall (concert is at 19h30, soundcheck will likely be around 17h30-18h00)
Sunday November 24th – concert downtown at St. Andrew and St. Paul Church in the afternoon (short performance for us) details to come
Sunday December 8th – 2pm concert at Union Church in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue with the Children’s Choir
