Final event of the season!

Hello everyone, and thank you, and congratulations for two great performances this weekend.

I was so proud of your for being so focused, performing so professionally, and singing so beautifully on Sunday. And Monday’s concert was so touching because the audience really appreciated your performance, and you clearly wanted to sing nicely for them. Thank you for performing so generously!

We have one final event together, this Sunday, June 1. At Tanna Schulich Hall, which is in the Faculty of Music of McGill at 555 Sherbrooke St West, downtown.

Please arrive at 1:30pm in your uniform. You are all old pros at getting ready for concert, but we still need time to get warmed up and practice where to stand onstage, so there won’t be much time for changing.

The concert starts at 2:30.

This year, we will have a slightly different format, and we will alternate Choir Awards and singing. The event will last approximately 1 1/2 – 2 hours.

See you all then! Looking forward to one last performance with you all!

Youth Choir – week of May 12

Ok! Here we go, my beautiful ladies! So proud of you! Just a few more things to clean up and then we’re ready for the concert!

we missed you: Lucia

homework: please be responsible for yourselves and look over your music between now and then. Ombra mai fu likely needs some attention from everyone!

Upcoming Events:

Sunday, May 25th – Spring concert, “Shine Your Light!” at 2:30pm at Union Church, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue

Please arrive for our dress rehearsal at 12:30pm. Both choirs need to run their full program before the concert – we won’t have seen each other for nearly two weeks!

You have all been given a free “bring a friend” ticket – please try and find someone your age who might be interested in joining the choir and offer them a free ticket to come and hear your concert!

Please also bring your music on this day – I will be collecting all of your music after the concert. Because I am moving out of the province on June 1, I absolutely must have your music on May 25 so that I can organize it and re-file all of it. There is a $50 penalty for music that is not returned to the conservatory on time – please bring it on May 25 and leave it with me.

I will also be collecting the choir necklaces on this day, so that I can add the new beads (for years of attendance, and choir awards) in time for the awards ceremony on June 1.

For ticket information, please see below.

PARTY: Andrea will organize what to bring. Party will be May 25th at the Conservatory House after the concert.
