Dear Choristers & parents,
Well done for some really good, focused rehearsals lately. We have started off the choir season with making choral music at a good level already. As you know, I expect no less! We have 5 new members: Jiatian, Siwen, Kendra, Grace & Melissa and we welcome them to our choir community! We are 18 members which is not big, but everyone is singing well! Thank you & let’s keep it up!
Now for information about this weekend:

Monday, Oct 31 – Halloween
Youth choir rehearsal will be cancelled next Monday as more than half of the choir will be participating in Halloween events. Most YC choristers seem to be coming on Saturday, thank you for arranging that! I know it is not easy! For me neither!
Therefore, I will extend one or two more rehearsals in November for the Youth choir if needed. Info will come.
Some more info:
We will be doing our Holiday concert on Dec 4 with a local concert band! We will each perform our own pieces and do some traditional Christmas carols together! They are very good and so are we! We have to learn and perform our music well for ourselves, the thrill of making lovely music together and also, to impress! We can do it!
Lastly, one thing I will mention on Saturday, is an invitation I have accepted for the choir to sing at a Christmas fundraising concert in Montreal on Dec 16. It is for a worthy cause. One of our moms is an opera singer! Yes, really! Aline Kutan is of Armenian origin and she is the soloist for this concert organized by the Armenian society to raise funds for musical education in Armenia. I am hoping many will be able to participate in this event with the Children’s Choir as well. More info to come!
Many thanks & gratitude to you all,
